The School of Business at the University of California, Riverside is home to the largest undergraduate business program in the University of California system, as well as the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management. School offers these departments and concentrations: accounting, business analytics, finance, general management, marketing, management information systems, and supply chain management/logistics. At graduation, 44.20 percent of graduates of the full-time program are employed.
The new SBB is a $87 million, 63,400-square foot addition to the campus that provides more space and resources to enhance student success. The building is technologically sophisticated and forward-looking, and prioritizes collaboration and student success. Spaces to be incorporated into the building include Shared Building Resources, Classrooms & Educational Spaces, Student Support Spaces, Academic Offices & Support, Administrative Offices & Support, and Building Support. The project includes two new ancillary storage shed buildings and extensive site work.
Specialty systems commissioned by GMC Cx include a new 216-kilowatt solar array on the roof and a heat pump chiller providing carbon free heating.
GMC Commissioning provided LEED Enhanced commissioning services for the new home of the UCR School of Business. GMC Cx tested the Building Envelope System, Domestic Cold and Hot Water Systems, BMS, Air Handler Unit, Air Terminal Units, Heat Pump Chiller, Cold Room, lighting and lighting controls and a PV solar array. Additionally, GMC Cx is leveraging our advanced analytics software to provide 100% performance testing of HVAC systems with ongoing support for facilities maintenance. GMC Cx custom developed Skyspark based analytics has provided significant value to the owner and tenants by saving utility costs and maintenance time.
